Got tickets? Need tickets?
Hotel room? We try to help fellow members of our
local Penn State Alumni Association either obtain or sell/transfer
tickets to games and hotel rooms in and around State College.
Simple rules apply, with the
primary being NO SCALPING!! This is a service that a few of us like to take on just to help out.
Tickets are to be offered at face value or less.
For the “away” games, some of us will take road trips to catch another college
campus and see another city for a weekend outing. Occasionally we have
tickets and/or hotel rooms that are available, again through our
own membership and those close friends/associates from other alumni chapters.
Same rules apply, if we’re going to help with any exchange the selling price
must be the purchase price or less.

Chapter
eNews Information Plans
are underway for Penn State's home game Tailgating activities,
as well as TV Party gatherings here at the South Jersey Shore this Fall.
TV Parties- Text of recent Chapter
email: Hi Penn State SJS Chapter members, area alumni and friends:
We’re in the midst of planning a couple
of “TV Tailgate Parties” for this Fall, so both current alumni
association members, their friends and some new or prospective members,
could meet to watch a Penn State game on tv, and enjoy either a bar, a
restaurant or a private home.
In years past we’ve had gatherings at various establishments such as
Markers, Hard Shell Café, Cheers, Bubba Mac’s, Somers Inn, Charlie's,
Yesterday’s, and The Varsity Inn. We’ve also met in different members’
homes. All have their own particular plusses and minuses, so we’d like
to hear what you think!
Would you prefer to meet for a TV
Tailgate Party at a private home, or at a restaurant or bar, to meet
others and enjoy a Penn State game? Would you go if it were a night game
at 7 or 8 pm? Would you attend if it were a 3:30 or 4PM game?
Let us know on your choices to the above
questions and if you have a suggestion for a place to meet for a game,
or if your home is large enough for a group that could be as large as 30
or so!
Generally the requirements for these “TV
Party” gatherings are to have a cash bar if at a restaurant or bar, (not
an all inclusive cost per person for food and beverage). All other
locations, (byo restaurants, homes, etc) would be to “bring your own”
adult beverages (beer, wine, etc), both for expense and liability issues.”
As of now, the game dates for
consideration include:
Sept 11th - 7 pm vs Alabama; Oct 2nd - 8 pm vs Iowa; Nov 13th (Time -
TBD) vs Ohio State
